What shops are on St John’s Wood High Street?
You’ll find everything you need for the everyday: bakeries, coffee shops, pharmacies, dry cleaners and vets. There are also cafés and restaurants for a slower lunch or dinner, along with fashion boutiques, beauty and homeware shops and a handful of charity shops. Go to the Visit the High Street map for the shops and opening hours.
Which places take bookings and which are walk-in?
Most restaurants take bookings and it’s worth reserving for weekend lunch or on match days at Lord’s. Cafés and bakeries are generally walk-in. For classes, facials and haircuts, book directly with each business. Go to the Visit the High Street map for details on how to get in touch.
Is St John’s Wood dog friendly? Which cafés welcome dogs?
Very much so. Dogs are our neighbours too, and you’ll see plenty of them on the high street. Many cafés welcome dogs, especially at outdoor tables, and there’s a vet on the street if you need one. Regent’s Park is just to the south for a longer walk. Each place sets its own rules, so it’s always worth asking at the door.
