WatchHouse opened its St John's Wood coffee shop at 51A in spring 2026, in the unit that used to be Orée Boulangerie. The company started in 2014 in a former watch house on Bermondsey Street, founded by Roland Horne, and now runs coffee shops across London and beyond.

The room was designed for the street. It uses warm oak, chalk-coloured walls, traditional Barton flooring and English fossil stone, with a curved ceiling and an espresso bar in the middle of the space. Shelving and panels around the walls hold artwork and objects.

The focus is coffee, from a quick flat white on the way to the station to a slower cup at the bar.

It opens at 7am on weekdays and 8am at the weekend, closing at 6pm every day, which makes it one of the earliest coffee stops on the High Street. Dogs are welcome and there is seating outside, so it is a regular stop after a walk in Regent's Park.

For anything else, the team can be reached at hello@watchhouse.com.
